== Origin == Boxxy's rise to fame began in late 2008 and early 2009 when she posted videos on YouTube under the username "''boxxybabee''". Her highly energetic and fast-paced monologues quickly garnered attention after being shared on 4chan's /b/ board. Initially created for her friends on Gaia Online, Boxxyโs videos struck a chord with a larger audience due to her unique and expressive style.<ref name="KnowYourMeme" /><ref name="FamousPeople" /> The character of Boxxy was developed by Catie Wayne during her time on Gaia Online, where she was known by the username "moldy lunchbox". On Gaia, a forum that allowed users to create avatars and engage in role-playing, Catie began to experiment with the personality traits that would become Boxxy: a quirky, fast-talking, hyperactive persona with a "rawr XD" vibe that resonated with the emo and scene culture of the time.<ref name="WavyWebSurf" />
